Document production systems

Mass printing and document management

Document production is at the heart of our business, representing 50% of the Systèmes & Documents’ activity. A document production system is a set of tools, services, and information technology applied to the creation and production of documents. In practice, this term refers to the mass production of business or government documents with a fixed overall structure (e.g., direct mail, contracts, invoices, statements of account) and variable parts depending on the recipient (e.g., addresses, numbers, advertisements).

Audit & Consulting

As preparation for every document production project, our veteran consultants, with over 30 years of experience, will audit and analyze the current state of your ADF to propose solutions and improvements better adapted to your business context and goals. We will then put together a project team able to assist you and supervise the various participants.

IN PRATICAL TERMS

Document production: What is it all about? According to S+D…

This is what links an information system (IS) to the (printed or dematerialized) documents it generates.

IT >>> Documents (printed or digital)

Example: A document production system is the link between a business application (which manages the payroll of a large company, for example) and the many documents delivered by and for this service including pay slips, checks, letters, and information emails.

The document production systems make it possible to manage the chain of information that starts with raw, illegible data (stored in tables) and transform it into attractive, well-formatted and perfectly legible documents designed for the end-user (e.g., a company employee).

The goal of document production systems: streamline/simplify this chain, automate production tasks, speed up exchange, and optimize the process to ultimately save time and money.
